Central Government and State Governments should look at actively monitoring the polio cases and look at measures other than just OPV for control of Polio in the country.

The Reasons are Known for the shootup in the cases, and flood is every year affair..Even after knowing this its wrong to blame WHO for the delay in supply, the state government could have sufficed the need for time being with the help of neighbouring states, and Central Govt.

It is difficult to figure out whom to blame... And blaming will not lead to any constructive solution.. Everybody be it govt at the center, state, bodies like WHO, community, individual need to come together to solve the problem ... Whether it is an information issue or implementation issue, could be solved when everyone of us feel passionately about the subject and see to it (in all possible ways) that problem is being tackled at every nook and corner of this world

Let's just say that there is no one to blame here but everyone...So, just do your part and try to make sure that in your zone (be it personal or social or public) everyones vaccinated...We need to start accepting the fact that we as individuals are responsible for each and everything that happens...
A blog is a good start...

There should always be a mechanism through which proper anticipation and approximation of can be done. Complaining about the situation could only be seen as nothing more then trying to cover-up the failure on the part of the state government. With so much media coverage and general focus on this cause, it would not have been difficulty to arrange in advance the vaccinations needed to meet the requirements.

The Government should look at setting up permanent Polio Booths at Railway Stations and ISBTs where migratory population is administered Polio drops compulsarily before entering the State.
